RATES EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2021

STANDARD RATES:

PRIVATE EVENTS:  

$89 an hour 7am - 11pm

$109 an hour overnight hours 11:00pm - 7am

*overnight hours are not always available. we reserve the right to accept or deny bookings based on our discretion. 

FILMING / PHOTOGRAPHY RATES 

We rent our theater for film shoots and photo shoots via

Peerspace and Giggster and vary based on the size of the cast / crew. 

7am - 11pm

1-12 people - 69 per hour

13-30 people - 89 per hour 

31+ people - 100 per hour 

 

11pm - 7am is overnight rate.

Add 20 per hour for these rental times. 

each rental day is subject to a 25 dollar cleaning fee. 

*this cleaning fee does not excuse patrons and clients from picking up after themselves or excuse them from returning props / curtains / lights / or furniture to its original state. This fee is used for our basic maintenance and upkeep of the theater / taking out trash and disinfecting etc. Failure to clean up or return the space to its original state will result in additional labor fees beginning at $100 dollars for inconvenience. we try to create a great space and experience for everyone and it is a lot of work to maintain. please respect it as if it was your own. leave it the same as you found it or better, please and thank you. 

 

*A DEPOSIT OF 50 PERCENT OF YOUR RENTAL FEE WILL BE DUE AT TIME OF BOOKING TO BE PLACED IN OUR CALENDAR.

without a deposit, your tentative booking has the possibility of being booked by someone else. occasionally we will put a soft hold on your desired date for you to keep an eye and communicate if something else comes along for the same date and time. This does not mean that is your date. until we receive a physical deposit, that date is considered available. we do our best to communicate and Make things work for everyone.

 


Skiptown Playhouse in East Hollywood is available for rental. Great for rehearsals, shows, film shoots, acting class and screenings. Contact us to schedule a viewing!

Intimate theatre with 36 red plush seats on risers
Approximately 1100 sq foot space
Lobby and bar area that is great for ticketing
Dressing room and bathroom in back
Full length red curtains that open and close
3 hidden doors on the stage walls as well as a regular door and a set of French double doors, all have paths around the stage for entrances and exits
State of the art sound booth for full stage lighting and sound

 $25.00 - Popcorn machine / 3 packages of 10oz kernels serves 24-36 people 

$10.00 per additional bag of kernels 10oz serves 8-12 people

Located just off Melrose between Normandie and Vermont, near Los Angeles City College.


 

OPTIONAL ADD ONS

PROJECTOR AND FULL SCREEN: 25 dollars per event

POPCORN MACHINE (2 bags of kernels serves 16-20): 25 dollars 

ADDITIONAL KERNALS: 10 dollars each package (serves 8-10)

 

SOUND AND LIGHT OPERATOR (BASIC OPERATIONS): 30 dollars per hour

*this does not include light programming for a full stage production. this is basic dimming and providing playback during your event / production. They will also assist with production however is needed. 

 

SOMEONE FOR FRONT DESK: 15 per hour

If you need more advanced tech or operators please let us know in advance and we can see who we have available. 
 

Our play / show Rates are the standard 69 per hour if you book 6 or more shows at our theater.

Disclaimer:

PAYMENTS:

Please be on time or early with deposits and balances for your bookings. You cannot begin filming, rehearsing or using our space unless you are current in your payments or have an agreed upon arrangement. Failure to arrive to your booking with proper payment before your booking begins can result in the cancellation of your booking with no refund at the discretion of the working manager. Please be on time with payments so we can continue operating and functioning properly. 

PUNCTUALITY:

Please be on time for your booking or communicate with our team about a late arrival. If you are running late please let our staff know. If you are more than 30 minutes late for a booking and have not called or emailed our staff to let us know, we assume it is a no-show and reserve the right to leave with no refund. If you are running more than 30minutes late there will be a 30 dollar charge added for the site reps time. (we have to pay people for their time). 

PARKING:

We have had hundreds of shoots and it always works out, so its not THAT BAD. BUT Please carpool or cummute in an effective way. This is Los Angeles. Everyone knows parking here can be terrible. There is a "lot" across the street that does not belong to us. If you park over there, you assume full responsibility for anything that happens to your car. There are meters on our street and around our neighborhood. 2 hours free parking on the street before 6pm. After 6pm they enforce tickets. meters are free after 8pm. Street sweeping across from us is Wednesday 11am - 2pm, and on our side is Friday 11am-2pm. 

ARRIVAL:

You may arrive up to 15 minutes early for your booking. The staff has until your booking Time begins to arrive and let you in. We are usually early for your booking to greet you and settle any payments / go over locking up procedures and light board operations / tech stuff set up mics and playback etc. 

There is no early set up for bookings. If you need to come in early to set up anything that is considered time in our space. Please add that time to your booking so we can account for that. We need to make sure we have someone available and that the space is not booked. Include set up  / load in / and break down to your booking time.

EXITING:

There are times when our staff does not do the check out in person. We use the honor system. Please put things back where you found them. Make the space as good as when you got there. You have a 15 minute grace period to exit the building from your wrap time. We have surveillance that alerts us when you leave. At 16 minutes, there is a full hour charge. Plan accordingly to make sure you have time to get everything without rushing and forgetting things. 

LOST AND FOUND:

We will hold lost and found items for up to 30 days. If we do not hear from you within 30 days we refuse the right to dispose / donate / remove your belongings from our space. As long as we have heard from you or are alerted of your item, we will hold onto it! your item will not leave our space as long as you've alerted us.
